and To Be a Witness Unto Jesus.

Please be blessed as you study this with me.

Let us pray:-  Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.  For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.  I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.  I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.  That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.  And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body,  the fullness of him who fills everything in every way in Jesus name AMEN.

Wisdom From the Spirit
1Co 2:6 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.
1Co 2:7 No, we speak of God’s secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began.
1Co 2:8 None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
1Co 2:9 However, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him”
1Co 2:10 but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.  The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
1Co 2:11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man’s spirit within him?  In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
1Co 2:12 We have not received the spirit the world  but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.
1Co 2:13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.
1Co 2:14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
1Co 2:15 The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man’s judgment:
1Co 2:16 “For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?”  But we have the mind of Christ.

As we read this, we see here the apostle Paul giving us the true measure of truth, that is to anyone who will receive it - the gift of the Holy Spirit.  This is empowering into the deep deep truth of God, His heart felt deep desire for all who would come and fellowship and then to desire more of the fullness of Him within themselves, to go and be and speak His truth with boldness.

V6-7 speaking wisdom secret wisdom of God our Father that has been hidden kept for any one who will commit and submit themselves into His keeping- with a longing and a hunger and thirst for His fullness in themselves to become Christ-like.  It is for our glory that Christ Jesus is revealed in all His fullness within us.

1Co 2:8 None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

V8 If the rulers of this age had known what was about to be released when Jesus rose from the dead, they would never ever have crucified Him.  But it was our Father God Almighty’s plan to give us all of His fullness, all of Himself in any-one who would come and just receive of His goodness and the fullness of Him in the most powerful thing ever known-that is LOVE- GOD IS LOVE- He has given that completeness to anyone who will come to Him.

1Co 2:9 However, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him”

V9 No eye has seen no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him.  This verse shows and tells us that there is No other way that true Power, Revelation, Love, Wisdom or Understanding can come accept by receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit.

1Co 2:10 but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

V10 Confirms this - God has revealed it to us by His Spirit.  Now if it takes the Holy Spirit to search the deep things of God, it  stands to reason that we must receive the gift of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.  Because the Holy Spirit gives us the words to say, this is the infilling of the Holy Spirit, he is the Spirit of revelation and understanding, if we will only receive Him.

1Co 2:11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man’s spirit within him?  In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

V11 Now we see here that it is only the Holy Spirit that knows the thoughts of God and understands them.  So, as we pray in our tongue and run our eyes over a second time what scripture we read, we will receive the thoughts and mind and heart of God that He so longs to reveal to us so we can walk in confidence always.

1Co 2:12 We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.

V12 We need to receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit of God that we might understand what God has freely given us folks.  He wants us to have all He has for us so that we do not have to wonder any more what  He wants to show us.  When you have finished reading the Word just go back to where you started and run your eyes over it again and pray in the Spirit over the Word of God and He, the Holy Spirit will give us revelation not as the world knows, no, but as Almighty God knows.  He will also show you what is to come, and we will be able to speak and to express spiritual truths and give understanding to many around us as we walk with Jesus leading us by His Holy Spirit.  We will know the truths and thoughts of Almighty God that have been kept for us.
.
1Co 2:13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.

V13 Yes we will speak words of great Godly wisdom with spiritual truth and it will astound people.  This is a profound truth that the Holy Spirit will teach us all things and bring them back to our remembrance. (see John 14:26)

1Co 2:14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

V14 We cannot and will not accept the things that come from God without being filled with the Holy Spirit for they will seem foolishness without the gift of the Spirit.  We will have discernment and understanding of God, His will, His why, His way.

V16 For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him. But we have the mind of Christ.

Wow! what a way to finish a study, to have the mind of Christ the anointed mind, the fullness of Jesus Christ in us so that we may understand the Word and the Love and be overflowing with Godly wisdom for all actions and every reaction.

There are great spiritual truths waiting for you and me if we will yield to Him and be open to His wonderful gifts and receive them and use them to the full.

We can be confident that we will hear the voice, the prompting of the Holy Spirit, knowing that we are walking right.  We can live in peace and confidence knowing He wants to and will reveal more of Himself to us every day.  He will make His mind known to us about every situation just as Jesus knew what to do and say, so can we, if we will receive.

“Oh what a wonderful Father, what a wonderful God”.  Thank you for loving us and keeping us safe in Your hands, never leaving us as orphans, but letting us be part of Your family that we love one another with the love You have given us.

Thank you for Your Blood Lord Jesus that has set us free and made us righteous, AMEN.

May I now give you the scriptures that will help you understand and to be able to receive more from our Father Almighty God.

The Apostle Paul wrote three quarters of the New Testament he said in 1 Corinthians 14:18
I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you.

Let us learn from this.  All his writings he brought into being by Paul’s ability to hear what the Spirit was saying, the wisdom of God released into a man to be able to speak it out and for it to be written for us.

Please take some time to study these scriptures with me and be blessed.

Isaiah 28:11-12
Very well then, with foreign lips and strange tongues God will speak to this people, to whom he said, “This is the resting place, let the weary rest”; and, “This is the place of repose”—but they would not listen.
Here it is prophesied by Isaiah about 730 years before the birth of Jesus, that God would speak to His people with foreign lips and strange tongues.  That as we use these strange tongues we would receive rest when we are weary and it would be a place of repose -  confidence and trust.

Joel 2:28-29
“And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.  Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days. .
Here we see God say “I will pour out my Spirit on all people”.  Are you part of ALL?  Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.  When this was said, the men and women who were servants were not worth anything, they were the least of the least, lowest of the low, nobodies, they carried the water and did menial tasks. God said that He would pour out His Spirit on them all.

Matthew 3:11
“I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me will come one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.
This is John the Baptist speaking, he is saying that when Jesus comes He will baptise you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.  So we see here that it is Jesus who baptises you into the Holy Spirit.

Acts 1:4 and 8
On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about.
This is Jesus speaking to His disciples and telling them not to leave Jerusalem without the promised Holy Spirit.  So if it was that important for the disciples then how much more important it is for us to receive this same gift today.

V8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria,  and to the ends of the earth.”
You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be His witness every where you go even to the ends of the earth.  Yes you find that the very presence of Jesus will be radiating out of you when you are full to overflowing by praying in the new prayer language you will receive.

Acts 2: 4 and 33
All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
Here we see all of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in tongues as the Spirit enabled them.  Notice all of them as the Spirit enabled them.

V33  Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.
Peter preached the first sermon and 3000 were added to the Church and all of them heard the disciples speaking in tongues.  They thought that they were drunk at 9am in the morning, but they were not, they were full of the Holy Spirit and were speaking in tongues.

1 Corinthians 14:2 and 32
For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries with his spirit
Here we see that when you speak in your prayer language, tongues, you are speaking to God, mysteries with your spirit, God’s perfect will.

V32 The spirits of prophets are subject to the control of prophets.
Notice that you are in control of your tongue, you wont speak in tongues unless you want to, but please don’t miss out on this wonderful powerful gift from God Almighty.

Jude 20  But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit.
So when you use this gift you will be building yourself up in your most holy faith.

Mark 16:17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;
Are you an active believer?  If you are born again and believe Jesus then you will speak in tongues as the Holy Spirit gives you the words to say, a strange tongue one that you do not understand, but you will be blessed abundantly, if you receive this gift.

Acts 10:44-46
:44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message.:45 The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles. :46 For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God.

Here we see the Holy Spirit was poured out on the gentiles and they all spoke in tongues, Cornelius and his household were the first recorded Gentiles to receive the gift of tongues, and began praising God in their new language.

So let me bring this together for you.  God wants to speak to us through our own foreign lips and strange tongues, and He will pour out His Holy Spirit even on the least of us to overflowing, when we pray in tongues, it will be a rest to us and a confidence will be in us, we will trust Him beyond our wildest imagination.

Jesus is the one who will baptise you into the Holy Spirit who gives you the words to say, as strange as they may seem do not think about them, just speak them out loud as you receive this valuable gift, and you will receive power within you to be a really strong witness for Jesus where ever you go you will let Him overflow into other peoples lives.

Remember when you are praying in your prayer language you are speaking mysteries of God and to God.  Wow! this is a wonderful command to receive this gift.

If you would like to receive this gift, then pray this prayer :-

Jesus, I thank you that you are the one who gives me this gift, and now I understand that you Holy Spirit will give me the words to speak, I ask you Jesus to baptize me in the Holy Spirit fill me now and I will speak in tongues.

Thank you for loving me, I receive it now. AMEN.

Now it is up to you to speak that strange language of God.  Just receive now.

May all God's blessings overtake you.
